Ipswich’s prophet of prose, alt-electro-rock musician DAMIEN, has announced a free show at Brisbane’s hottest new live music venue to celebrate the end of a highly successful year for the queer artist.
DAMIEN, who in 2021 released several singles, and a full-length album, ‘Girl’, will be bringing his high energy live show to ‘Uh Oh! Bar’ on December 10th, and entry is free.
It will be an opportunity for friends and fans of DAMIEN to enjoy songs from ‘Girl’ as well as new material from the artists upcoming album, ‘Wrong Age. Wrong Race. Wrong Gender.’, which will be releasing in 2022.
DAMIEN has performed a number of sold-out and near sold-out ticketed shows this year across Brisbane, The Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Ipswich, and has received published critical acclaim for his live energy and stage presence.
His music has also featured heavily on Brisbane’s 4ZZZ and other radio stations across Australia as well as Europe and North America, and has been likened to Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and even Gorillaz.
DAMIEN will also be joined by fellow Ipswich artist, ‘Syph’, who will be presenting a set of live-looped dance grooves and beats performed using only a seven-string bass guitar and several sequencers, in a project titled, ‘The Groovewell Archive’.
Doors to open at 8pm, Friday December 10th
UH OH! Bar is located upstairs at Bakery Lane, 690 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley
